Full Outdoor Living Layouts
Space to design patio, seating, fire feature, and circulation as one composition rather than fitting a slab where it will squeeze in.
Delaware County
Established Liberty Township properties with the lot size for a real outdoor plan.
Powell combines a small historic core with the large-lot subdivisions that filled in around it through the 1990s and 2000s. Those lots are generous enough to support a genuine outdoor living plan — patio, seating wall, fire feature, and connecting paths — and the landscaping installed with the original builds is now well past the point where replanting pays for itself in curb appeal.
The Area
The constraint on most Central Ohio outdoor projects is space, and Powell largely does not have that constraint. Properties here typically have room for a patio sized for actual entertaining rather than a token slab, plus the circulation to connect it properly to the house and the rest of the yard. That makes Powell one of the better areas in our service range for full design-and-build work rather than isolated single-element projects.
Large lots support patio, seating wall, fire feature, planting, and connecting walkways designed together instead of added one season at a time.
Planting from the original subdivision build-out has reached full size and often well past it. Selective removal and replanting resets the property.
Glacial-till clay holds water, and water that freezes lifts whatever sits on top of it. Excavation depth, compacted base, and drainage are standard scope on every hardscape project rather than optional extras.
Local Considerations
Common conditions across Liberty Township and the surrounding Powell area.
Space to design patio, seating, fire feature, and circulation as one composition rather than fitting a slab where it will squeeze in.
Many properties have walkout basements and graded rear yards, where retaining walls and steps do structural work as well as visual work.
Maturing canopy shifts what will thrive underneath it. Plant selection has to reflect the shade that has developed since the original planting.
Large properties are well suited to phasing — a full design built over several seasons, with each phase fitting the whole.
Original patios are often structurally sound and just need cleaning, re-sanding, and sealing rather than tearing out.
More ground area means more water to route. Grading is planned across the whole property, not just around the new hardscape.
Michael is the real deal! They are incredibly skilled in their craft and made the entire process incredibly easy for us. With a fantastic crew and exceptional work, you would expect it to take longer to complete the job, but that was not the case. They were incredibly quick, and I am extremely happy with the outcome of my new backyard patio. It is even better than I could have imagined!

Local FAQ
Questions specific to working on properties in this area. General service questions are answered on each service page.
That is exactly what the outdoor design service is for. We walk the property, assess grade, drainage, sun, and how you actually move through the space, then produce a plan you can build in phases as budget allows.
Yes, and on larger Powell properties it is often the smart approach. The important part is designing the whole thing first so an early phase does not block a later one.
Look at the base before the surface. If the field is stable and the problem is faded colour, washed-out joints, and weeds, cleaning, re-sanding, and sealing costs a fraction of replacement. If the base has failed and pavers are moving, restoration only buys a season. We will tell you which one you have.
