Condition Assessment
An honest look at whether the patio needs sealing, spot repair, or genuine rebuilding — we will tell you if sealing is not the answer.
Paver Sealing & Restoration
Pavers fade, joints wash out, and weeds and ants move into the gaps. Cleaning, re-sanding, and sealing restores the colour, locks the surface back together, and protects it — for a fraction of the cost of replacement.
Why It Matters Here
Joint sand is not cosmetic — it is what transfers load between pavers and keeps the field acting as one surface. Once it washes out, individual pavers start to shift, edges loosen, and weeds and insects colonise the gaps. In Central Ohio the freeze-thaw cycle accelerates all of it. Re-sanding and sealing at the right interval is straightforward maintenance that meaningfully extends the life of the patio.
Surface cleaned of dirt, organic growth, and staining before anything is applied — sealing over a dirty surface locks the dirt in permanently.
Washed-out joints refilled and set so the field locks back together and resists weeds and insects.
Sealer restores depth of colour and gives the surface a barrier against staining and moisture.
What's Included
An honest look at whether the patio needs sealing, spot repair, or genuine rebuilding — we will tell you if sealing is not the answer.
Dirt, algae, moss, and staining removed so the sealer bonds to clean paver rather than trapping grime.
Growth cleared out of joints before re-sanding rather than sealed over.
Joints refilled and set so the surface interlocks properly again.
Settled or lifted pavers reset where needed so the finished surface is even and safe underfoot.
Sealer applied evenly for colour depth and protection against staining and moisture.
How It Goes
We look at the surface, the joints, and any settling, and tell you honestly what the patio needs.
Surface cleaned thoroughly and joints cleared of weeds and old, failed material.
Settled or shifted pavers reset and edges secured where required.
Joints refilled to the correct level and set so the field locks together.
Sealer applied evenly, with clear guidance on cure time before the patio goes back into use.
Couldn't recommend Michael and Emerald Crest enough! We hired them to remove a lot of large bushes around our house and re-sand and seal our paver patio. Everything turned out better than expected!

Sealing FAQ
Every few years for most residential patios, though it depends on exposure, traffic, and the product used. We will look at the surface and give you a straight answer rather than selling a schedule.
It deepens and enriches the colour, closer to how they looked when new. Finishes vary from natural matte to a wet look, and we will discuss which you want before starting.
Joint sand transfers load between pavers and keeps the field interlocked. Once it washes out, pavers shift, edges loosen, and weeds and ants move in. Re-sanding restores the structural function, not just the appearance.
Individual settled or lifted pavers can usually be reset as part of the work. If the base underneath has failed across a larger area, sealing will not fix it — we will tell you that and quote the repair honestly.
Sealer needs time to cure, and the exact window depends on product and weather. We give you specific guidance before we leave so the finish is not compromised.
