Through the Storm
One Pass Is Rarely Enough
A single clearing early in a long storm leaves you snowed in by evening. For significant snowfall we plan return visits so the property stays usable as accumulation continues. Ice is the other half of the job — a cleared surface that refreezes overnight is arguably more dangerous than one still covered in snow, which is why salting matters as much as plowing.

We hired Michael and the team at Emerald Crest Landscaping last winter when one of the big storms was coming in. They were there bright (dark?) and early to get the first pass at the snow, and then came again later to get everything cleared away. Do you serve commercial properties?
Yes. Business properties are regular winter work for us, including walkway clearing and salting where safe public access is the priority.
How many times do you come during a storm?
As many as the storm requires. A single pass at the start of a long snowfall leaves you stuck by evening, so return visits are planned for significant accumulation.
Do you salt as well as clear?
Yes. Salting is applied to cleared surfaces to manage ice and overnight refreeze — a cleared surface that ices over is more dangerous than uncleared snow.
Do I need to book before winter?
It is strongly recommended. Setting up in advance means we have walked the property, know where obstacles and hardscape are, and can service you when a storm actually arrives.
Will clearing damage my pavers?
We work carefully around hardscape and are familiar with these properties — in many cases we installed the patio or walkway ourselves and know exactly what is under the snow.
